Weird Clicking sound

when i gear down it makes a weird clicking sound and slows when i slow. not sure exactly what it is it comes around where the gear box is. any clues? <BR>I wanna bring it to a mechanic but i live in hick town. so im not sure.<BR>pleeeeease help.

i have the same noise but only when im off the accelorator and it isnt noticble until i hit around 2500 rpm. and at times when im not in a gear and stopping. it dounds like a gear box but i dont think i tore any gears cuz then it would sound when im trying to get power from it cuz i did that in an old car. any ideas please help. thanx Greg
