couple wierd sounds

Post by Ryencool »

car is making a few wierd noises, jsut want to know what they are...when im going under 5mph ( in driveway ) theres a squeak at the front left wheel. I checked the boot so its no cv, could it just be the brake pads rubbing? bearing or somthing? also when I stomp on hte gas during gear change I hear a short whistle..back when I was stupid I thought I was chirping the tires heh..Howevers ince that is impossible it has been ruled out hehe...thanks guys, just saves me money at the shop if I know what i need done<p>[ April 25, 2002: Message edited by: Ryencool ]

when you are going under 5 mph are you touching the brakes? it could be that you have metallic pads and at not hitting the brakes hard enough not to get a squeal. But then again Maybe someone has put silicone on the back of the pads I know I do, it stops the pads from making a metal on metal sound when the piston hits against the pads.
