Jeff got back to me :)

As soon as I have a bit of time, probably the 10th, this tuesday, I'll finish up the repair on the rings, might take a couple days... but I hope to this week open the GB thread for the cluster rings :D Theres a list of page 5 here of people I have so far acknowledged. I won't make any more than I have, because I only have one week of access left, and I'm out of plexi. I have, a guesstimate, 10 sets? 2 lipless? I'll do a good count on tues.

I'll post back a bit later in the week.

It seems the epoxy repair works fine.

I'm prepared to start the GB thread as soon as Jovian2k gets some photos and opinions here for you guys. He will be comparing them to the Ebay ones. He has them in his hands, its just a matter of when he has time to do the photo shoot.

Just thought I'd give you a heads up, this topic has been quiet for awhile. Its still alive!

Im a dummy and forgot to bring the speedo rings w/ me and I am sitting on my a-- doing nothing in Montreal at the moment... I will however take some pictures comparing these rings with the eBay ones and make some comments on fitment and comparison notes this weekend! (Even if I have to ignore my girlfriend who will be visiting me for the weekend :P )

I think Ryans rings are awesome, they do not fit as well as the eBay ones however when I received my eBay rings I needed to use super glue in order to make sure they stayed in place over bumps and turns etc. anyways. Ryans will require super glue also. I painted mine bronze to match my dash and wheels... Ryans would be awesome to paint to match your interior or exterior color. For the price you can't go wrong... eBay ones were $30 before shipping compared to the price of these.

I think I am going to replace my eBay ones with these! Painted them bronze to see how they would look and they look great! Better than the eBay ones in my opinion... what do you guys think?

Wait! I put them in, super glued them, they looked great... but... my speedo needle got stuck on it and my tach needle also got stuck (barely). I think the rings need to be made less thick!

well, if that is the case, there is going to be a lot of sanding!

 The ones I originally fit in my cluster were the ones milled with the machine thinking it was a 3mm bit, instead of a 3.175... That would accout for the stuckage, as well as the paint. Those chips look pretty bad... I'm irritated by that. Humm.... They're a lot wider, and the ebay ones look rounded.... I don't know what I think of my work :?

it will depend what look people are going for... I think I like the thinner ones better so I will go with a lipless set :D

your work is good - but moon has a point and its not a knock on your work but just what people want - some folks may like the big rings, i myself would like them thinner as well. i still want a set btw :)

Humph. That irritates me that I'm never quite happy with what I do... Perfectionism? I apparently sent Jovian an un-repaired set, I'm mad about how those chips show up. Grr.... I hope its fixed, and I hope my stupid epoxy will paint nicely. I'm thinking I should have called a place like Speedy Glass and see what they do to repair cracked winshields.... Bah! I'll organize and ship my requests from this week on sat/sun.
