I'm liking it better than the stock headlights. So what did you paint exactly?

yes this only works on JDM/Euro headlights so as a warning for everyone:

DO NOT PAINT YOUR HEADLIGHT INTERIOR HOUSING IF YOUR BULB TYPE IS 9004

because the 9004 bulb uses the entire interior housing to reflect light. The H4 bulb only uses the rear chrome piece to reflect light.

2 piece design (H4) vs. a one piece design (9004)

Not quite, there is that small outside corner...

But ya, it's not that you don't want to paint the housing, you don't want to paint the reflector, which on the 9004 headlights, it's pretty much the whole thing

went to the drags friday night and ran a total of 11 times! Most of these were 14.8, and several 14.7 runs... my worst run was a 15 flat... but in the end I drove away with my best timeslip ever!

14.545 @ 95.69 mph @ 88.9 decibels LOL

because those nice rims are very heavy... and it's already slow so a little extra weight won't hurt :D

here's an update with what has been going on with the slow car...

http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=66477" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Basically I took the car to a roadracing event and was driving it hard in 110 degree heat... by the time I got home and it cooled down, the next time I drove it I had problems losing oil from the oilpan seal and the cylinder head plugs.

I ordered some new plugs from mazda and they should be arriving tonight...
