Well the moment of truth came tonight. I poured the brake fluid in and..........there are no leaks! Those who have made numerous flares will know what a victory it is when, all the flares don't leak. Took a while to bleed the system, but the pedal is rock hard now. (everything was new and dry). Bought way too much brake fluid (I am used to big old Fords). Speaking of pedals, I found my missing gas pedal in a box of interior parts. It was really rusty and needed a full restoration. I chopped a bit off of it so the MOMO pedal pad would fit better. I cleaned up and painted the metal parts of the parking brake cable and parking brake handle too. The parking brake cables are straight off the MX-3, they actually are not seized. Must of been the 1" layer of goo on them. I bathed them in the varsol tank for an hour, now they are touchable without saying "ew". Painted the thing-a-ma-jig that goes around the steering column that bolts to the firewall too.
You still have the front bumper to the mx-3 i need a chin spoiler. I live just past hamilton. Oh and awsome job so far you inspire me to rip my car apart..lol

Nope it is long gone. I was a MX-3 owner for only 48 hours
I was walking with an ex today, and we passed a 323 of the same year model. I resisted the urge to tell her all about yours, because I used to lull her to sleep with stories like "How an internal cumbustion engine works", and "Why I spend so much time on my cars". These are lullubys to a typical female - out like a light.
Had a busy weekend, managed to work on the car for a few hours though. I got the parking brake cables, gas pedal and steering column surround installed.
Meticulous! If you regreased everything, it'll be like a brand new car! Don't forget to do a little sound deadening while you're putting it back together.

Thanks. I worked at a wrecking yard dismantling cars for years, I hate getting slimmed by cars. When it is "finished" any updates will be easy a grime free. My Mustang is also very clean, that way you can concentrate more on speed and less of needing a tetanus shot and a varsol bath. LOL I will be sure to re-grease everything too. I was not going to do any sound deadening, but I really should. It is such a small car, it is not like it would cost a lot. A lot easier now then later
You're a paint whore. I love it. Everything will be so awesome when its all together...
