Lookie what I got in the mail today! :D
Image

Millenia Curved-Neck Intake Manifold with KL68 Throttle Body. Excellent condition, time to get started on the polishing. Also I figured since I'll be redoing the exhaust, and since I already have a kickass magnaflow muffler and catalytic converter, the only thing left for full exhaust are the headers. Soooooooooo...

PACESETTERS! w00t!

This is me right now ---------->

Today JWMX3 came by and we spent about 6 hours pulling the K8. It came out with no problems at all. Everything went smoothly and according to plan - but that's only cause Joe's done it about 54378534265658904 times before and knew all the little tricks and secrets ;D
It was nice to avoid all the headaches :)

The pull:

P.S. - Joe forgot to bring his chain so we had to use the tow rope :P

Congratulations! She's going to be a whole new ride!
I highly recommend solid, or filled motor mounts.
With the ball and socket joint of the PaceSetters, you don't need the flexpipe (Which kills up to 7HP). With solid motor mounts, you don't have to worry about it leaking exhaust. With solid mm on mine, I bolted the ball & socket joint tight, without the springs, and it works great.

Jesse that's good to know! Cause I was wondering about that.

And yeah it's pretty nasty in there, looks like something got slaughtered! :P That's pretty much how it's been for the 10 months that I've had the car. Previous owner didn't really take good care of it and I knew this swap was gonna happen soon so I didn't really bother cleaning it up. But it will be clean enough to eat off of when I'm done :)

Man stop blaming the previous owner for everything.... she only had the car for a few years, I highly doubt it was mint and all of a sudden went to hell under her ownership

Yeah, well like most women cars... under the hood was completely untouched and unmolested. so all your seeling is 16 years of Dirt build-up.

but she did a good job with the routine maintenance stuff like oil changes/brakes/front end/ etc.

{careful she might read this} 8)

You should Put up some pictures of your parts storage room ..... ...... ........... ................... A h e m

I'm sure that's why it burns so much oil and couldn't pass emissions? Why one of my brake pads fell off and why the brake pedal feels like a sponge? Or how about when I recently had my wheel bearing fall apart on me?

My stock GS was from a Woman. Original owner... Wife of a Ford/ Mazda dealer. It was perfect. It seriously looked brand new. There was NO dirt anywhere; underneath, or in the engine bay, and the only wear I could fiind was on the corner of the brake pedal. Everything everywhere was shiny.
