E-mailed him on... the 22nd, 4 days ago. But I'm in no rush, I have only 3 complete (2 imperfect) sets. But tomorrow I should be able to make at least 4 more, stock be willing.

Okay, I now have 5 complete sets, two spare speedo, and one extra tach. I still have some material, and I have NOT even designed a one peice yet. Don't think it would be hard though, but I wouldn't want to make many. Machining would be VERY time consuming.

In order of posting, the interested people I have are...

Bluechro
Me
Mooneggs
Rekognize, not painting
mx3optidrive
MazdaManiacMx3
SuperK
Npspears
mazdnut08
zzzoomx3, not painting
kp2t

I have some perfect rings, and some imperfect. Imperfections include...

A chip or two from the face, caused by my stupidity whilest breaking tabs.
An imperfection in the edge, caused by lack or poor zeroing (my fault) of tabs, and the ring rattling against the bit when it broke loose.
Some tach rings are SLIGHTLY too small, and do not fit as well as the rest. (0.175mm)
And on all rings, the remainder of the tabs need filed off, unless I do it for you. Not sure how I feel about that :P

If you want something special, now is the time to tell me. I believe Mooneggs wanted the lip removed, and MazdamaniacMx-3 potentially wanted both a connected set and a set of individuals. SmoothMX3 wanted only the connected set?

The cracks really tick me off. They're the most noticeable. What could be used as a filler material? Like bondo is for bodywork, what could I/we use for plexi? bondo? Anyone have experince in glass/plexi/lexan repair?

Still no responce from Jeff, I'll E-mail him tomorrow, I suppose. That would be a week. Maybe he's away, or maybe he simply forgot....

Okay... About me, I've changed my mind. I'm just going to get mine off ebay because I'm really not wanting to mod anything to fit perfect or anything. The rings on ebay, are just simple little rings that go around, with no worries or hassle. Sorry, But thanks anyways..

On a side note: I respect you for offering and putting your own time into creating something else for the MX-3 community. It never hurts to have another mod for our cars. So... Thank you

As long as the price stays around the 5-10 USD range, count me in.

You're not hurting my feelings, or anything, Smoothmx3. Its okay with me, one less set that I have to stand around and stare at the router for. If you really want, I could send you one of the perfect sets, heck I'll shave the tabs off for you :P. Its up to you. The process is free for me, minus time, so I can always just toss the imperfect ones.

Price so far is pretty firm around $5 CAD, which really is USD at the moment... I'm not fussy.

Should I send a set to Jovian2K so he can do some comparing? He has the e-bay set, he could do some comparing for ya'll :)
May be able to fabricate, but these rings are perfect fit and require very little time to install. They fit in to the border of the gauges nicely, but they do not stay. I had to use a bit of super glue to get them to stay properly. keep your eye on eBay listed under that international seller, they are a very nice, tasteful upgrade - Jovian2K
as far as I can tell, the fitment is the same. If I send him a set he could do side by sides and give us his opinion... If he's up for it, I haven't asked him :P

I PMed Jovian2k and i'll ship him a set as soon as I can, for free, and I'm paying shipping, so he can do a comparison and take pics.

I made a lipless set for Mooneggs :)

and we're up to.... 7 complete sets, and I'll see what I can do about fixing them myself, the tiny chips and such.

Still no word from Jeff.

I'm going out of town from the 3rd/4th utill the 7th. Work opportunities :) come home with a couple more hundred to spend on my girls

I will take a set of these, preferably a perfect set. These will look really neat.

i really like the plexiglass look - put a fiber optic light in there and you got some serious sweetness going on - i believe there was a link on here before to some - silver ones on ebay - but here it is again.

though I would still like a set of those plexiglass ones, please - how may i get some???

Yes, I think I have decided I will do the repair/prep myself, and ship the perfect ones to those who don't plan to paint.

Because bare Bondo isn't in style

Okay, I've started working on one... and I'm running it around on a whet stone, and it looks pretty good....
but it will take forever to do 24 rings

Don't worry about my prep. I have no problem sanding off the tabs myself, and I'll be painting them anyways.

Haha I was thinking the same thing about you. How exactly are you doing the chips?

Not sure yet. I'm really busy for the next week and school is ending in 19 days then I have construction work 14hrs/day.... So once I get around to research, buying it, and doing it...
It depends howmuch spare time I can come across. usually from 10-12 P.M.
Bondo? Fibreglass? something that bonds, and I can sand down relatively smooth. The chips are tiny...
Anyone artsy-craftsy?

Edit:
Baking plexi on a FLAT surface at 200ºF works nice for smoothing.
and I have tomorrow to do this, Gf is busy :D
