Well this campground is giving me a headache. Their listing shows that from the 15th to 17th, it is unavailable. I am going to try to book 12th to 14th and see if we can extend it once those dates are secured. It looks like someone must have advanced booked outside of their 3 month time period. I've been checking the site daily and I can't understand how spots can be filled before they are available. As it is, there are only 2 spots available for 15th to 17th. We may have to secure another campground. Will anyone be able to help with this?

Okay, change of plans everyone. Since we can't get into Bear Creek and not everyone is staying for the same length of time, we will do this...

This is the new site to look into (it's located just north of Kelowna and South of Vernon)
http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explor ... intry.html
Thanks to Jacki for digging this up for me.

Everyone, please make your own reservations for a site. You may want to contact other members if you would like to share a spot with 1 other party. I believe the spots will allow 2 cars. The fee is $22/night per site. To make reservations, book through the discover camping site, located here.

Make reservations as soon as you can in order to reserve a spot. Tracy and I will be there from July 12th to 17th.

It may be in your best interest to book a site with someone who is staying a similar amount of time as you are. The online booking for the campground requires the license plate number of both vehicles. When sharing a site, the nightly fee works out to only $11/night per party.

Here is a list of organized groups at Fintry so far...

Group #______Car 1_______________Car 2_________Date Range

*01____Jesse & Jacki Krsa_____________Steven Moline_______(12th-15th)<Booked>
*02____James & Tracy Gosteli__________Jen Scott___________(12th-17th)<Booked>
*03____Mark Klassen ________________ Darcy Dueck________(12th-17th)<Booked>
*04____Collin Hnetka ________________Kevin Ovenden______(12th-17th)<Booked>
*05____Timmy George_______________????___________________(12th-17th)

anyone want to share a spot? i'll be there from the 12th (thurs) to the 15th (sun) for sure. if need be i'll pay the split cost for the other nights as well. $11 for 6-7 days is still cheaper than paying $22 for 4 nights. let me know.

Yeah, oven, I will be there. I'm not sure for how long though. I have the second week off of work, so might as well book the whole time too.

Being it's between Vernon and Kelowna, we could spend a few days at either end of the Lake. Vernon has some nice places too.

I'm going to be booking a site today, so let me know. I'll gladly share a site from the 12th to 17th. I'm going to Vancouver from Kelowna, so I'm open to staying until whenever. Leave a message or PM me with your plate # and I'll reserve it. :D

The sites will allow for multiple tents, the car is problem area. Also note that there is a fee for a second car which is equal to half the nightly stay. So for example, 5 days at $11/night is $55.00 which must be paid in cash upon arrival. That works out to an additional $27.50 each which is not too bad for 5 days.

Sounds like this will be fun. Unfortunately I probably will not be here as I will be in Manilla for 60-70 days here in a few weeks :( Maybe next year..

BDY-082.
If we have an odd number of cars, I'll volunteer to pay the extra cost per site. The more the merrier!

Oh, I got a new subwoofer that takes up less space, is a different shape, but at least my cooler still fits. Drinks for the road! Fwheeeeeeeeeee
