Ahh so I've got a final midterm on this friday and then my class load has lessoned up a bit so I have a bit more time but now the weather has gotten real crappy :/ Had a rough cold the last week too which hampered any time I had(was gonna do some wiring this weekend but instead slept through most of it in a Robutissun coma).

Cold days + Garage with no heat = No fun at all. Don't think the swap will be done till fall as the engine isn't assembled yet and the days are only getting colder, if we get a warm weekend I might be able to finish it off or worst comes to worst train it to school for a little while till things are tossed together but I doubt theres any good weather on the way.

I did learn that my low gas light works! It came on on my way to the gas station last night, I topped it off and I managed to get 38.85 liters in it, which is the most I've ever put in by about two liters, does anyone know how much we have left after the low gas light goes off?

My light comes on with ~3.2 gallons in it... The MOMENT it's steady(not flashing), she takes 10 gallons even.

That comes out to almost 100 miles or ~160 Km.

i think what he means by flashing is when it comes on and off slowly when you turn and stuff, and steady on is that the gas is low enough that the light comes on even when you're not turning

I have gone 60+km with the light on. The most I've ever bought at one fill is ~43L.

I'm sure I could go 100km after the light came on.

Oh? In that case maybe we do have a 50L tank. Towards when I'm ready to do my swap, before I install my Walbro pump I'll run this one completely dry a couple times.

I'm also in the middle of trying to install my valve spring keepers and it's such a PITA without the right tools, I think I've found one online similiar to this one here: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2211-MAGNETIC-OV ... 271wt_1122

I can't find the exact link since I'm at school right now but I figured I'd toss a post up here first to see if anyone knows if local part stores would have them for sale or rental?

So I've got a tool for the valve springs coming in the mail, although now I'm looking in to getting some titanium valve springs so I may wait longer.

I haven't taken in my turbo yet as I've got a buddy who's looking to be apprenticing/working(can't remember now) at the local turbo shop by the end of this upcoming semester so im gonna try to manoeuvre myself into a cheaper price for it. I started looking up part numbers and whatnot that are on the turbo and I've come to the conclusion that it is a GT2871R from the metal badge on the compressor side, paired up with a VJ11 hot side(assuming this, as the hot side on my turbo looks like a VJ11).

According to Garrets site the specs are as follows:

Turbo-GT2871R
Power Capability- 400 Hp
Turbo Part Number - 743347-2
CHRA Part Number - 446179-32
Compressor trim - 56
Compressor inducer trim diameter - 53.13
Compressor exducer trim diameter - 71
Compressor A/R - 0.60
Compressor housing inlet/outlet - 76.2mm clamp / 52.6mm clamp
Turbine trim/A/R - 76/0.86
Turbin inducer diameter - 53.85
Turbine exducer diameter - 46.95
Turbing housing inlet/outlet housing - 4 bolt / 5 bol

Now I'm not super versed as far as turbos go but from reading up these specs I've come to the conclusion that it'll be good enough for my purpose, I imagine the power capability listed is under max boost, which I'm unsure about this turbo but I'm sure it won't be at teh 12 lbs PSI I'll be running through it.

I'm happy to know what the turbo is now, and since it's gonna need to be rebuilt anyway I think I'll look into superior compressors to go with for my build.

By flashing, I did mean when the light goes on and off based on throttle pressure and hard cornering. :P I've run my car BONE dry one time, and one time only... She took JUST shy of 3.2 Gallons to fill. The manual is accurate as far as the fuel capacity...

So I've had an excessive amount of life happening lately so I've had to re-evaluate what my plans with the car are.

I don't know if I'm gonna stick it through and finish off the build or not, I've got so much else going on that I could really use the free up of funds from selling off the BPT parts as well as the space, I just don't have a lot of time with school and everything else going on to do it anytime soon. I've started working more too at the family liquor store so my free time is basically non existent except for a couple hours I can free up occasionally if work is slow. I'll have to make a decision pretty soon I think, before it gets too cold.

Not sure what I'll do but I might through some stuff up on sale tomorrow.
