se7en, do u have any idea of what you've done ?
Engine import companies have workers they need to pay, and with your videos maybe someone will loose their job :(
NO WAY im gettin a KLZE !!
Tell me , you have a 10psi system...
If i order the standard Ebay turbo system ... maybe i can have 3 psi ? 5 psi ?
Do you have FMIC ?

ps: THANK YOU very much for not giving up on the old 1.8 :)

Lol, no outlaw, I am not running a fmic...i have one though...I just haven't installed it yet.

I will try to get daylight videos this weekend(time allowing)

no intercooler at all, and in the cold winter air, I can run 11-12psi before I detonate....

also, I haven't installed my millenia S injectors yet either...only running 220 cc probe gt injectors.

I think with millenia S injectors, and my FMIC, I could probably run 15-18 psi...(300-325 whp!!)

i should get on that.

OH YEAH, outlaw, don't forget...the key piece of my turbo project is the megasquirt and spark setup.(full standalone engine management)....

Hey se7en,

You mention that an internal wastegate brought your turbo too close to your disty... am I likely to encounter the same issue even with a smaller straight T3? Any way to bend the exhaust pipes a bit to the right to move the turbo away enough?

What about a turbo blanket?

I'd really like to stay with an internal wastegate for simplicity and cost.

with the location of the turbo on our setup, it isn't really possible to move the turbo around much.(the turbo actually touched the disty on the bottom LOL.)

also, it actually cost me more to run the internal setup because of fabricating the pipes...and it didn't work well in the end...

just get a external wastegate. cheaper, better, and faster, and easier.

good deal no matter how you look at it.

Hmm... well, how hard would it be to route the external wastegate back to the exhaust? I was thinking of using the same probe turbo headers and from the pic it looks like it has wastegate plumbing. Would an external wastegate bolt up to the two pipes (is it standard?) or would I have to fab something?

I don't really want to vent to atmosphere; wouldn't that fill the engine bay with exhaust fumes?

welll...yes, the external wastegate bolts on the probe turbo pipes...plumbing would be easy at any muffler shop..

I wouldn't worry about venting to atmosphere...unless you don't like the sound of screamer pipes.

I like the sound but ... if you have the heater/AC running, doesn't it blow exhaust into the car?
