Yes they will be in km/h mph and redline rating for each model.
I put mine in last night, due to some design flaws it took me quite a while. These will have to be fixed before they are to go into production

------------------
Barry Clark
Moderator
1995 Mazda Mx-3 RS
Chaste White
barrykclark.com
barrykclark@hotmail.com

I installed them last night, look soo tight. I have a few day pics cause the only dig cam I have is here @ work.
http://www.barrykclark.com/pics/recent/

Those took me 5 hourse to install due to issues and design flaws. They are working on fixing the problems and sending me another set to try out this week, I may get them next week sometime to test them out. IF these fix my problems I had.. then we are good to go!. otherwise its gonna be another prototye made.
But as you can see they do exhist!. they can be a problem to install and you will need some knowlege of electronics to install them.
Of course there are no instructions yet because I was the 1st to install them. I'll try to have a set of instructions once we get a set that works perfect. You must be real careful installing these. you could easity break your needles, I almost did a few times. These are not installed as instructed, this took alot of work to get these in. I will try them on my other set of gauges to see how they fit.
Barry
------------------
Barry Clark
Moderator
1995 Mazda Mx-3 RS
Chaste White
barrykclark.com
barrykclark@hotmail.com
[This message has been edited by Custommx3 (edited August 16, 2001).]

Hey Custommx3, I read on another message board that using two spoons on each side to pry off the needles works great. I don't know if it would work the same with the MX, but I figured they(needles)should all be about the same. Might give it a try with the new prototype coming in. Just trying to help out. the ones from SRD are just white face gauges. The ones from speedhut are indiglo.....the light up a bluish or a greenish color........maybe even more. The ones from SRD don't glow at all........

Image
THATS INDIGLO!
http://www.barrykclark.com/pics/recent/
has a few more pics.
I should have a new prototype this week to test out, or it could be as late as next week before I get the new set.
As far as pulling the needles off, These do not require pulling off the needles. The have to be slowly put over the stock ones. THIS IS A BIG PAIN! but it looks phat! You could easily break your needles if your not careful. I would have them installed by someone who knows what they are doing as far as installing. You have to wire these in to your current wiring. I'll give Speedhut everything they need to know about installing these.

As far as the group buy, we'll get someone to do it AFTER we get them ready for production.
------------------
Barry Clark
Moderator
1995 Mazda Mx-3 RS
Chaste White
barrykclark.com
barrykclark@hotmail.com
[This message has been edited by Custommx3 (edited August 20, 2001).]

Why are they making us do a group buy? dont they know that WE all want these gauges!! it would be so much easier if they allowed us to buy one at a time or whatever. we should send them a letter or something like that letting them know about it. just me 2 cents

Even though everyone says that they'll "definitely" buy a set, when the time comes for people to 'pay up,' a lot of times those "for sure" people mysteriously -vanish-.
A lot of time and research has to go into the designing and production of a new product. So in order for the company to get over the initial hurdle of producing the product, they need something like a Group Buy to overcome those initial production costs. It's less risky for the company, since the group buy Guarantees a large sale to kick start the product, and it offsets the initial investment they put into the product.
If they simply designed the product, then added it to their website, the sales may trickle in a little at a time. But it still wouldn't justify all the resources they initially put into designing and making the product. You gotta realize that if they put all their resources into the design/production of a new product, they're taking AWAY from the resources which could be used to produce other more popular products, putting them behind schedule for other projects. And it would also be easier for them to make a lot of the same product all at once, while the moulds and whatnot are out (cuts down on costs). Plus by shipping them ALL to one location, that's less time consuming for them, as opposed to worrying about packaging 50+ gauges and shipping them all over the place. Time is Money. So it's actually better for us, because the savings are actually passed on to us.
That's why it was such a great success we got the MX-3 Slim Visors made Image (Everyone involved knows who they are!). Y'know Barry, I'd run this Indiglo GB, but I don't have the cash to put into my car right now, so it would suck that I wouldn't be able get a set for myself ;(
------------------
----
Gary Mui ( gary.mui@sinnovations2.com )
Sales Representative
Streamline Innovations 2
Vancouver, BC
604.312.9588
www.sinnovations2.com
mx3slimvisors.2ya.com
[This message has been edited by GMGQ (edited August 20, 2001).]
[This message has been edited by GMGQ (edited August 20, 2001).]
