Finally, some good news. Here's a copy of original test and subsequent test done today.

Thanks for everyone's help. Now I'm good for 2 years and by that time an after-market management system will guarantee a perfect air/fuel mixture and should virtually eliminate any emissions complications.

just curious, but why did you idle co% go up so much? like .5%

I'll speculate that it was because the throttle was (perhaps) engaged (accidentally of course) as you can see by the idle rpm figures. Real world idle is a consistant 700 rpm - all of the time now.

Now you will stop nicking the Jet A1 from the lears behind the hangers.

Well Done John, excellent news, by the way do they weight your car or
is that a guesstimate on the weight part?

They use a hand scanner and scan the bar code info on the inside drivers door jam. Thanks Matt, I think I've got that TPS, TB linkage adjustment down to a fine science now. That and the new air filter and TB is what I believe put me into the Pass criteria. Funny part is when I went down to the local licence office with the e-test paper work (e-test required every 2 years) to renew my licence plate stickers, they overlooked the small print that indicated that it had a 2.5L engine. So my ownership and insurance still reflect a 1.8L V6. Not sure if I should be concerned or not at this point, but I'm good for 2 years now.

Get a bottle of Seafoam and try to clean the intake. Make sure you let it soak for at least an hour. Also, make sure your EGR is functioning. What? No EGR on KLZE? then you are going to have to make sure your tune is * perfect *. I am just glad they went to OBD-II only emissions in my state this year. If it doesn't have OBD-II then it doesn't get tested :D My wife wonders why I only buy 95 and older.

We only had the sniffer in NC like 5 years!
Now all those shops get to take a bath on their equipment....kinda sad.

Intake track is new and completely clean. As mentioned (perhaps on preceding page) original TB was for the most part fudged. The replacement of which and subsequent fine tuning of it (TB) along with new air filter is what put me over the top to pass.

Glad to see the TB helped you out John. :D Just sorry it took so long to get there.
