I have been wanting a sunroof in mine for a long time. Didn't know people even did sunroof deletes Awesome work non the less! love the progress. What are your plans with the lines that go down the side?

They will remain the same as factory.

i would kill for a sunroof in my car . a carbon fiber roof skin would be neat though

could always dinoc it but yeah, im on the same boat as most, i couldnt live without my sunroof, not a fan of AC at all so windows down, sunroof back, did a great job with that delete tho

I am all for getting rid of the sun roof just because I dont fit in cars with sun roofs!! Nice job on the delete!!

The other "issue" that I had with the moonroof is I could not find one that was 100% rust free.

Nice wok Aaron! fyi Mazda still has many roof sections in stock for none sunroof. a bit more labor intensive than how you did yours.

Question though, why did you choose to go with an epoxy vs spot welding? I would think that the twist of the chassis will eventually cause the epoxy to fail.

Welding would be much harder to grind/finish. The glue is very strong and I really don't think that there will be any issues in separation.

alot of auto body repair places and even alot of high end auto manufacturers are now using epoxy these days over welding simply because its just as strong as a weld with todays epoxy compounds and its also more light weight vs welding. the chances of his roof popping off is very very low

I have been working on my big brake setup and decided to go with a 5lug swap in just the front.

I used 1st gen probe spindles and had the portion that attaches to the strut machined down to match.

Clearances are still tight but I'm working through that. The biggest thing to do still is have my rotor hat shaved down as I purchased a very thick one. This last bit of machining will put my wheels in about 1/4 in or 5mm.

ANd what size of tire are you running on the car? And what kind of fitment is it? Rubbing on the struts or anything? I don't know if you mentioned it already but I though you had but couldn't find it.

The tire size is 205/45/16. The rims are 16x8's with an et of 25 on the front and 15 on the rear. My "problem" now is that I want my fronts in more with out tons of camber, which means another trip to the machinist to "shave" 1\4 in off my rotor hats. I have tons of clearance on the strut side.

Which calipers are you planning to use in these spindles?

I will be using the US Brake F33i's. Wilwood also make calipers that could bolt right on as well.
