Big brakes on the mx3 are about impossible so I decided to go a different rout. 5Lug swap.
The 5lug swap in the front will allow me to use the big brake set up that I have.
Unfortunately, rota was out of the 5lug rims that I needed.
So, after selling the rotas I decided to go with the VARRSTOEN T1.

There both 16x8's the 4 lug rears have an et of 15 and the front 5lugs have an et of 25. The big brake setup that I have for the front uses a .5inch rotor-hat that amounts to about +5mm over stock. So, when all is said and done the front will appear to have an offset of +20 in relation to the fender.

It's essentially the old PMO brake setup that they had for the 2nd gen probes.
I have three sets of the custom brackets as pictured if anyone is interested in putting together their own set.

I found an old video with my much littler helper. I don't have any good pics of my mx3 from before but you can see it in the background..... I actually did drive the thing once upon a time.

Getting rid of the moonroof saves weight and lowers your center of gravity. The motor and framing is quite heavy in mx-3's.

Is the panel bonding cement snadable when it dries or do you have to somehow remove the excess before painting the roof?

I made sure I got the sandable/finishable/paintable type. Norton now makes a panel bonder that does not harden in oxygen. I didn't want that type because I knew that I would have to finish the edges.
