As you all know control arms are a fortune to buy from mazda...... So, I spent the day bead blasting.

do you think those bearings will be ok after blasting or are you planning on replacing them?

I have new bearings and hubs to put in. My next big challenge is to finish fabbing my brake kit to the hub/spindle assembly. It looks like I will actually have to have my hubs, hat, and caliper mounts milled in order to get the brake kit on correctly.

man your car is going to be nuts when its all done. so much attention to detail and everything is done right and over and above. makes me feel like my work is all shoty at best lol

I'm definitely with Mike on that... I need to find a place to do some blasting, a cabinet is one of those tools I'd love to have, but wouldn't use enough to justify the cost of That and powdercoating, I can't even imagine the convenience of having it available whenever I need it.

I'll keep checking back, I love this build, and the orange has really grown on me. It's not one of my favorite colors, but the more I see it, the more I like it.

What kind of paint did you use? Is it rattle can or gun?

That's just a rattle can primer so that the parts would not flash rust.

I will be putting a tougher one stage paint on them. Flat paint does not clean up very well or protect on suspension parts.
