Wow I thought I was the only one...
Partially dismantled mx3 sitting on jack stands on the driveway. Basement has rear seats, bumper, and boxed up k8 IM laying there. Closet contains more car stuff than clothes... fluids, paints, tools, etc. My room has a box full of sensors, another one full of switches, and yet another one with random mx3 parts. Tools and other various car stuff all around... Man I need a garage...

Your pencil holder is a turbo housing, Cup holders are throttle bodies, and the random car parts laying on the end tables are your version of "sprucing the place up".

I use an old water pump as a beer bottle opener, it's perfect.

And I have at least 2 boxes full of random electrical parts, including most of an engine and front harness, plus another 2 boxes stuffed with engine parts. I also carry around coolant, brake fluid and power steering fluid in the trunk, with a full tool box and some random parts.

You know you're obsessed when you have over 4,000 posts on a forum about a car they quit selling in your country many years ago, and stopped making altogether 11 years ago  AND you have looked at the forum almost every day for 4 years.

Willy's pickup box being used to house two dismantled k8's, full set of craftsman tools being stored under sub box in spare tire well nestled beside booster pack and floor jack, ten valve covers just in case you want to try different colour combinations as well as dismantled VRIS solenoids in glove box and shutter valves in center console, removed rear seats for transporting parts to protect leather, very large box of all sorts of detailing products beside sub, nagging from wife about the 358 oval stains on brand new driveway that show up every time it rains courtesy of tire shine, buying gas and changing oil before buying groceries, every stock part blocking the lawn mower in the shed so it's time to buy a goat.

You know you’re obsessed when...the main reason I can’t wait to get a house with a garage is so that I can take my obsession to the next level.

Awesome thread revival.

My car is my default time filler. If I have a spare moment, I go clean it, or fix it, or take my parts car apart and catalogue the parts in boxes.
