OMG ryan your right!? holy crap. I totally forgot. My car didn't do that untill i put the different intake on it.

if its whning in mid to higher rpms in every gear it wouldnt hurt to just check your gear oil at least just in case... more than likely is your intake but it never hurt to check, as the tranny will whine when movin in gear at mid to upper rpms if the fluids low. its free to check

yeah i took out my speedo gear. i got plenty in there.
