Thank you very much mitmaks, and kid, I always thought that was some kind of thermo spacer and maybe it is... But what I found while removing it is that it is very very restrictive.

It's the plate between your throttle body and intake manifold. There's a gasket that you have to replace, and make sure that the threads are clean because for 16 years the threads inside that plate have been bare. So try wiping them down with maybe some brake cleaner or wd/40, Otherwise it's going to be really tough to thread the nut all the way and you run the risk of snappin stuff.

We all have hopeful ears with diy mods, but i'd like to say my throttle response improved and got more sound out of the intake.

It's been a long time, lots of pictures, and some things that I'ma wait to post until they're completed. I haven't given up on her, and really havent had to do any recent maintenance aside from the preventative aspect. I'll load some pics up tonight and have a new game I'd like to introduce to the community.

What kind of paint do you use? It always comes out looking so shiny.

Believe it or not, I looked forever to get a off the shelf paint that would match well enough without a custom mix. I went to China Tire and tried every red engine enamel that they had there. I'll go look at the can and then post back.

EDIT: I wasn't able to find the can, It is Engine Enamel, I believe Victory Red. I like to think the reason it comes out so nice is because I put three times the work into prep than the actual spraying. Technique is also a factor.

Small update, driver's side caliper failed for some odd reason. Had to gear down and ebrake to stop this morning! My car got boot fucked at some random parking lot, I hit a rut and cracked the paint on my brand new lip. I think "Judith" will have a moonwax makeover in the coming weeks. While I decide on what to do with the car.

Here's some good, EBC greenstuff pads, EBC cross drilled/?slotted? rotors, and new o.e. calipers, all parts and installation included in an incredibly low 720 CAD! Will be installed monday, with pics to follow!
