how do you figure?
Source a turbo manifold, small framed t3 (.42 or .60/.48), 14b, something maybe a bit larger, and a decent fuel setup/method. (safc and bp26 or megasquirt) run moderate boost and make 200 fwhp.
sure boost wont come on till 2500 rpms, but who drives their car around below 2500 rpms.

I look at it this way with how short our trannys are geared and my hybrid turbo, boost is a gear away.

There is really no point in supercharging a 1.6 sohc. Sohc is an automatic swap, no questions asked. Then save some money up and turbo that sonuvagun!!! :shrug:
