HID is plug and play as well, just the bulbs is different, they have the ballast and HID bulbs included, no cut or modification needed.wytbishop wrote:I need answers first.
Will it run properly with my daytime running lights? Is it wired with a factory connector or is it just an open pigtail? If I choose the HID option how will that be wired?
I will definitely buy a set if they are well sorted out electrically.

DRLs are a requirement in Canada, so I believe that it is required for any Canadians interested in the product. Personally, I would propose that the DRL wiring be done through the LEDs in order to minimize the power used to power them.ray carpart4u wrote:it is plug and play, only need to splice some wires for the halo and leds. i think the daytime running light will be eliminated. If you feel it is something you might need, i will try to figure it out. Thanks for addressing this

if this issue is sorted out, I would be interested in a set of black lights with the HID kit in 6000K.

Re: Offical Spyder MX3 Halo Projector headlight (Black / Chrome)
So what does the HID Kit come with - ballasts and lights? or just lights? I am not interested in using 6000 or 8000k but would rather have 4100-4300k, which has the highest output. Would I have to buy my own ballasts and rewire w/ the normal light? Would it be easiest to buy the HID Kit and replace the lights w/ my own bulb?
Also, how hard is it to take off the plastic lens? I know myself, and others, are interested in taking these lights apart, removing the LEDS and smoothing it out so that it looks cleaner.

hid kit come with ballast and bulb, you can swap the bulb by yourself but i think any other aftermarket HID bulb will not fit since ours are special made. 6k is pretty bright and clean like a blueish white. the plastic is pretty hard to take off since is properly sealed. and if you open it it might have moisture issue in the future, just FYI.onlytrueromeo wrote:So what does the HID Kit come with - ballasts and lights? or just lights? I thought you were using the H1 bulbs for the HID kit...ray carpart4u wrote:hid kit come with ballast and bulb, you can swap the bulb by yourself but i think any other aftermarket HID bulb will not fit since ours are special made. 6k is pretty bright and clean like a blueish white. the plastic is pretty hard to take off since is properly sealed. and if you open it it might have moisture issue in the future, just FYI.onlytrueromeo wrote:So what does the HID Kit come with - ballasts and lights? or just lights?
