Alright that helps a lot. I'll grab it tomorrow and throw it in the scanner and see what it's like. I have no idea how it's going to turn out, but it's worth a shot. I'll see if i can't measure the chamfers by hand, and see what I come with.

Just out of curiosity, what use is measurement B?

B one could mathematically derive, you are correct. I like to measure everything 100 times so that I know for sure what it is.... redundant habit.

Oh jeez I didn't even think about that haha your a step ahead of me. I was just wondering why it was even relevant how far away the gauges were,

Since i have nothing better to do, I might too. Attempt to actually get it out of there... I have the dash without the vents in it... I'll just pull stuff off untill I can get behind it. Hopefully I don't have any mystery screws when I'm done :)Oh and it can be a two day project, because I don't NEED to drive anywhere untill friday :)

Those are one step before final measurements.
Tomorrow i'll edit this post with a computer generated idea of how they will turn out.

How thick are you making the rings? I am in for a set.

Nevermind, I just seen the 3mm thick on the top of the last pic.

Thats how thick the plate covering the guages is. I'll make one set and see how they fit, and since i don't have aluminum that could be 3mm thick, plus some to stick out, i might have to double layer and fasten them together, or find some seriosuly thick aluminum  I'll play with it today...

I know you can buy them off of ebay. I'm fabricating them for fun, and to share if they look decent. saves 40 bucks, no?

I have the bezel, I thought you were making the rings only. I was going to get the rings and just attach them to my bezel to give it a bit of a 3-D look. If you are making the bezel, I am not interested. I just want a set of rings.

Getting the contour of the bezel would be waay to difficult, and I have no way to get the specs for it. I actually think it would be so complicated to measure..... not worth it. the bezel its worth to buy. I am attempting to make the rings :) give me a week yet to get them good :)

Okay, I got the go-ahead from our best friend Jeff, and I will be selling these for $2 or $3 ( or more, if you're feeling generous...) plus shipping IF they turn out okay. If they suck... I guess you could still take some ;P. Once I've decided if they're worthy or not, I'll start a new thread in the group buy section, and take orders from there. But its nice to have an idea of how many I should expect...
