Got the HEI conversion done last night, drove it for around 10 miles, parked it and it wouldn't start. Did some other trivial things as far as checking wires etc. and, long story short, i'm now getting Code 2. Any ideas on what I should do now? Thanks.

Actually, just to clarify, the car does start sometimes and just cranks other times. Last night it did die once, and then about 3 times the rpms just dropped again, lights came on, then the car started back up on it's own and resumed it's previous RPM's. Needless to say it jerked fairly hard when it started back up.

Did you disable/remove the stock module?
Did you reset the computer?

The stock module is removed and I reset the computer after it acted up the first time and the car still kept messing up.

Cleared the computer again just to be sure, started the car and it died after about 30 seconds. Wouldn't start again, just cranked. Tried to get any codes I might have again, and i'm not getting any.

HEI module doesn't get hot at all, not even warm.

Could you take a picture of your setup and post it up?

Here's a pic. Hopefully you can get the idea, if not don't hesitate to tell me and i'll try to get another one. I unplugged the coil wire so the module wires were a little more clear.

I dont see any big problems - but then the picture doesnt show much. Did you check to see if you are actually getting spark from the spark plugs - also the module is very easy to fry if not wired properly....

Yeah..i'm definitely getting spark because sometimes it runs, other times it doesn't. It's just really tempermental as far as when it wants to start and if it wants to stay running.

Well, i've run out of things to try. Only thing I can think of is the ECU so if anyone agrees or disagrees, let me know.

Before I buy another ECU, is there any way that I can have mine tested? I called around a couple places locally and nobody has any idea. :?
