Everything looks hott bro! I can't wait to mine is in. The motor is going to the machine shop on monday since she's been sitting outside under a tent. I had a question or 2, sorry if I'm buggin but I just want to make sure on things.. Will the plugs on the mx3 wiring harness work on the BPT ECU? or is the BPT wiring harness a must have? Also I see in the other threads they use the protege's tranny instead of the Mx3's. Is it bad to use the mx3 tranny? Thank's for your help man!

i assume you have a 94+ DOHC?
if so to my knowledge, you cannot (all relatively speaking anything is possible) use a DOHC harness for the ?BPT ecu, i used a BPT harness, came with my motor, but i think you can get a SOHC harness or possibly a protege harness and it will be easier, even so there are a few wires under the dash that need to be changed (9 or so?), ill look for my charts and post um before you get to that point
the tranny thing i thought was only for SOHC motors, but im not positive, i recomend a Gseries tranny (protege escort kia) they are suposed to be much stronger, and all tho i didnt drive mine around to long (2months) until my turbo blew, i have an unsprug 6puck clutch and gave it hell, and it held up just fine....but i realize thats more money and thats not always an option, but i dont know if you have a DOHC

Yea man I got a 1994 DOHC.. Right now I'm looking for a wiring harness or atleast the plugs for that computer. It's hard finding the BPT Wiring harness around here and at this rate Im affraid I would have to get a stand alone... So you think the protoge's wiring harness will work? When you said SOHC, did you mean from the mx3?

yeah by SOHC i ment the mx3, i dunno about the protege harnesses, i assume it should, but will be missing certain things since its the nonturbo harness, (knocksensor and others) but i would think you could make it work

Cy, im not sure what that graphs is of or what exactly your talking about changing colors?...i feel like i missed somthing

SRy....my post was in response to
mazdax3speed wrote:thanks, i tried that 'auto copy' feature on photobucket, i guess thats why they didnt work

btw turbo is clocked now (snap rings blow!) and like i said waste gate was welded and mounted, so manifold looks much better now, i can use mothers mag polish on the manifold right??
If you polish the header it will take the color out because it's only a surface reaction between the air and the metal...

If some idiot put a fingerprint on your header before it was originally run...then you Can buff it out and let it Re-temper...

ah i see (response to both of the post above) yeah theres tons of finger prints on it, but ill use somthing to get um all off with before the manifolds ever put to use

and thanks, that box is checked for some reason

i know its been a while, baisically the old setup in all the pictures has been scrapped for the mostpart because the turbo now has more shaftplay then a toothpick in a coffie mug. the new stuff added to what was there is as follows  :
Garrett gt28r
Apexi avc-r
RC 550cc injectors
walbro 255 FP
and stainless coolant and oil lies

i now have all the peices i need to put it together, so once i get some time on the weekends where i can come back from school ill be finishin it up shortly

Goal: 250whp

i know i work slow but what can i say, im a....semi busy man

aside from the wheels i also got a new front mount, 3.25 in thick and a inch and a half shorter so it wont stick down so far, its still XSpower ebay crap, but its much nicer quality than my old one. if i can only find a GS lip it would look fine. im currently looking for a new manifold, i want to go rams horn style, i dunno maybe ill buy and flip a miata.
