Updated compression test results

2 - 200
4 - 200
6 - 200

1 - 190
3 - 175
5 - 175

Im not going to worry about it being low for a rebuild, once the rings are seated and the thing had actually been running it will have to be higher right ?

What did you do Joe to get the compression back on the rear bank?

He had the timing set wrong.

Tunes noticed @ TDC the cams were in the wrong place.

Seems as if he had been using the haynes manual and the timing was set wrong. The valves were still open on the compression stroke.

Sent him the link to the online manual and I assumed he set the timing correctly. Seems the haynes book may have been wrong?

yep, i screwed up the timing and thought it was right

but i just got back from my first drive :D

i did 12 pulls in 4th from 30mph to 50mph, letting the engine break back down to 30 to seat the rings

it feels really really good, and no leaks ! After a drive tomoro in going to do another compression test

thanks Eric and Barry :driver:
