Totally forgot or didn't notice the new rims, my bad. See, everyone is so impressed a red MX-3 is in such good condition (paint-wise atleast) that we forget everything else. lmao.

Thanks Legato626! However, I have some SUCKY news to report! Alright,.... I was 200 miles outside of my hometown, driving to Atlanta........... and what do ya know? My auto tranny goes out on me as I was pulling out of a gas station to get back on the highway!!
THAT SUCKS MAJOR A$$
!! So, after getting a free tow to a local hotel from my insurance company, I booked a room for a few days and I'll arrange for my vehicle to get towed to my mechanic back home.
So, I may be down, but I'm keeping my shiney red gem and she'll be all for the better for it in the long run!!

Driving a manual is a joke. I bought my first MX w/o knowing how to drive a manual, and I had to get my buddy to drive my new car back home
.. but I went out to a parking lot that night and forced myself to learn... and to top it all off, I got stuck in rush hour traffic the next day. THAT will make you learn a 5-speed in no time flat
Much more enjoyment to be had from a 5speed, Shifting through the gears is alot of fun at times

Interesting thing happened this morning....
I turned my MX on today and then I put her in reverse to see what would happen.... and to my suprise, I was able to back up....albeit, I had to rev her up a little. Then I tried drive.....and she quickly went into gear with no problem.
It's interesting because when she went out on me, on the highway, she wouldn't she wouldn't go in reverse or in drive at all...... but now she does. Any idea guys?
Now, I'm going to change tthe fluid and filter in her tomorrow,(I did this 4000 miles ago) and I'll be able to see what really is going on. But even if she is ok after that..........I'm still going to swap her out soon down the road for a manual because I don't ever want to get stuck again like I did.

Nice ride rsroadkilla!
Well, I've been reading all about it in the Transmission forum and you need alot of parts to make it happen...... and IMO, I think it would be difficult to install if you have no prior experince of the install process for it.

Well guys, I bought a new set of rear mudguards from Corksport recently and I'll be installing them this week. I'll take pics as soon as I get them on. After that, it's doing the drop on her! 1.5" up front and 1" in back.
Take care guys.
