would that mod to install a external ignition coil solve the problem if I continue to have issues with starting?
Yes that is a viable alternative as well. And its probably a better overall solution as well since you can run a much more powerful coil to achieve better spark. A bit more modding work involved though.. so I wanted to find a relatively simple work around since I didnt know your car knowledge or experience. Best of luck man.
