your turbo has a wastegate internal or you have to use an external ? is it's external then you have to buy that..
you need a bov too..
all hardware for oil feed/drain

Internal wastegate luckily.

I heard some rumours about oil-feed on the side of the engine. Does the K8 have this aswell?

Then I can just route the returnfeed to the oilpan.

ya the k8 should have the same hex plug on the side of the engine

I think the most difficult to get is the turbo cast manifold. Where are you going to get that?
(I want to put a turbo on my K8 too)

I`m just going to create a new collectorpipe, I dont bother making new headers etc, not yet anyway.

Not much, got some parts here, but it`s a project I`ll work on over time.
Maybe next summer or something.

Buying an apartment now, so I dont think I have too much to spend on my Mx3 the next months :)

Household appliances are soooo expensive.

 Agreed...

:?: question for you turbo guys... can you mount a turbo vertically...? like with the intake side facing up, so theoretically (using the most common method of mounting the turbo by the distrib/airbox) if you put just a filter on it, it would stick up through the hood...? Follow me?

:? Just curious, might make routing exhaust easier...?

thanx, John

Well, got some news, but not very good.

The turbo got stolen while our pickup truck was at a garage.
My fault, as I forgot I had the turbo in a box wrapped in a tarp.

Found the external wastegate, but no turbo...
So, I`m gonna do the Dastek Unichip now, to get the K8 properly tuned for the headers, bigger exhaust etc.
Also gonna map it for 98 (or maybe 99 octane as I`m hearing rumours about this being available here soon)

I`m also thinking of getting this kit, as I think it should fit with "minor" adjustments. (slimline fans, battery relocation, crossmember mods etc)

This would not be good at all for oil flow trhough the turbo, since the oil return uses gravity to aid its flow. Your better mounting it normall y then putting a intake pipe that bends up, put ur filter on that.

if u are using that turbo you dont need larger injectors than the kl ones especially if u are using an fmu and not an ems.

the fmu will work but with such large injectors your idle and mpg will be crap and your bumper will be black and stained from not running optimally. than again dont u have a beautiful black mx3? dont ruin that rear bumper.
