Honestly I can't say for sure I remember how I do it LOL. I get nervous and just kind of do it without thinking. I THINK that i just dump the clutch at about 3k rpm as soon as the last yellow lights up. I'm such a newb at strip racing...half the time it takes me 3 tries to get staged correctly. This last time was only my second time going out. I got a feeling as soon as I get the problem with my engine fixed I will be hitting mid-high 13's when I spray.

i went once a long time ago and i was nervous as all hell. i've done tons of high speed runs on country roads, tons of launching at lights (never street racing) and never felt nervous. but sitting staged looking down the track i dont think i took a breath until i went through the trap!

It's not that I'm scared or anything, just i guess the competition. Had the same feeling when I wrestled, ran cross country, etc....I think it's a guy thing  I know I will be running my car again soon with some much better numbers. I replaced mhy TPS which helped out with some of my major trouble I have been having lately. Tomorrow i will be replacing my thermostat, which will get it about 90% ready to go. My next investment is going to be the msd ignition kit, including the timing retard under juice. I foresee 13's....
