are you guys using 2.5 tranny or mx-3 tranny
I'm using 2.5 northamerican ecu are you guys using a jspec ecu
why is my mph higher yet my time is slower then yours?
[ July 28, 2002: Message edited by: Smokin mx-3 ]
[ July 28, 2002: Message edited by: Smokin mx-3 ]

That sounds kind of on the low side for an engine that's supposed to be putting out 197-200hp, especially with the Corksport ecu which is supposed to add 7whp as well.
So by me expecting between 165-170whp after I dyno, would you think I'm high-ballin'? I'm basing that on a 15-20% drivetrain loss factor.

Ah ok, that's more of what I expected. I'm wondering what kind of numbers I'll be putting out with the 2.5" exhaust and reprogrammed ecu? I'm expecting to see a bit more hp at a higher rpm (ecu), but probably slightly less torque because of the exhaust.
Thanks Dave :)

Traction is the name of the game with this setup.
I ran my buddy'd ITR and on my first and only run I got a 14.7.......moral of the story...those cars are easy to drive compared to our KL-ZE equiped MX-3's because of the much less torque they put out, which isn't that much of a bad thing.

What are the stock 1.8 tranny gear ratios? Where are you getting the 4.11's from?

Dave is talking about the final drive ratio, which is the gear ratio of the differential. The mx3 and mx6 have the same gear ratios for all 5 gears. The only difference is the final drive ratio, the mx3 having the 4.388 and the mx6 with 4.111. The 4.111 gives better gas mileage and blunts the acceleration a bit, which can help traction.
