That's a lame excuse. I did my own tranny fluid when I lived in Chicago and only had street parking. Pull drain plug and let drain. Replace plug. Open side plug and start pumping in until it starts running out. Put plug back in. You`re supposed to fill it until it`s totally full? I know this is very bad on the engine, wouldn`t it be bad on the tranny aswell, or isn`t there any oil-pressure in the tranny?

This is something I don`t know anything about, so please enlighten me... it sounds easy enough that I might attempt to do it myself, and save quite a few bucks.

also, is Redline MT90 the best oil for our tranny?

on a sidenote, wich motoroil would you use?
mineral, semi-synthetic or syntethic?

I`m having thoughts to syntethic being to thin and thus increasing ticking noises and possible leaks.

The correct oil level for the MTX is level with the bottom of the filler hole; the hole is on the side of the casing, so there's plenty of airspace above.

Like Ian said, you fill it up to the bottom of the filler hole. The hole on a manual transmission is on the side about midway up. Therefore, the fullest you can fill a manual tranny is to the proper level, which is about half full. It's near impossible to screw this step up.
