So far prices are determined at $100 for the tie bar, and $200 for the crossmember.

Jeff said the holes didn't line up when he went to test fit them on on his, but I don't have anyone to verify that.

Just a note that the 2 prototypes have been sent to Jesse on the 20th, and the last tracking update that it arrived into the "destination country" on the 22nd.
Yeah, I'll ask Jarid. I'm sure he'll be into it.

^--I would be interested in seeing how you could adapt this srd-v6 replica front crossmember to fit a 4cyl mx-3...I have no doubt with all you Oregon mx-3ers and Jarid's shop you guys could find a semi easy way to make it work.
:D

Just out of curiosity, does anyone make an aluminum longitudinal crossmember (the one the engine bolts up to) which is stronger and lighter weight?

Actually, what about general purpose chassis reinforcement bars? They would be tough to engineer, but I'm thinking something with high tortional strength in a cross pattern under the middle of the car, at the rear, etc. Something bolt-on, not requiring welding, using existing boltholes on the frame. And something lightweight (ie. <50lbs).

The MX-3's chassis is decently rigid already, but nothing compared to the 911 I've been driving around lately. :)

There are quite a few creaks under high loading, especially from the rear.

In fact if you want to see how bad the flex can be, park one wheel on a rock, up say 3", and try to open/close the trunk.
