I believe it's $200 for the v6 crossmemberSmoothMX3 wrote:$200.00 just for a front strut bar?! omg lmao
Yeah, I'll ask Jarid. I'm sure he'll be into it.Nd4SpdSe wrote:I was able to pull up some info and that SRD was planning on selling a kit with bolts and blind fasteners for the 4cyl guys. I'm not sure if it's possible, but Jesse, would it be possible to do a quick test-fit on a 4cyl, possibly Jared's Mx, and see if it's possible to figure something out. Jeff said the holes didn't line up when he went to test fit them on on his, but I don't have anyone to verify that.
Just a note that the 2 prototypes have been sent to Jesse on the 20th, and the last tracking update that it arrived into the "destination country" on the 22nd.

Something like this?nightfire wrote:Actually, what about general purpose chassis reinforcement bars? They would be tough to engineer, but I'm thinking something with high tortional strength in a cross pattern under the middle of the car, at the rear, etc. Something bolt-on, not requiring welding, using existing boltholes on the frame. And something lightweight (ie. <50lbs).
The MX-3's chassis is decently rigid already, but nothing compared to the 911 I've been driving around lately.
There are quite a few creaks under high loading, especially from the rear.
In fact if you want to see how bad the flex can be, park one wheel on a rock, up say 3", and try to open/close the trunk.
