Chips are not so bad as the width (painted). I would have replaced my eBay ones with these if they fit... I had them ready to go but the dials got stuck. A little sanding and they will be perfection... I am happy with them otherwise !!

Danny will be test fitting some rings for y'all tomorrow :)

These are chipless, thinner, and hopefully solved the needle stuckage problem!

Danny forgot to post (give him a break, he's old) so I'll just copy the relevant parts of his PM into here.
Daninski wrote:Ok the large ring is absofrickinglutly perfect. The smaller two work fine but could do to have the outer recessed diameter increased not more than a 1/32" total if your looking for a snug fit. Other than that perfect.
This is good news :) I can change that program in about 5 minutes. I have one set of the little rings that haven't been modified yet. PM me if you don't care, and I can ship it right away :)
I'm hoping for $10 - $15 CAD :)

Good news, I have the final program, and they fit!

I now have

all speedo rings fit perfect

1.5 perfect fitting set.

3 speedo size and one more non perfect fit tach.

The only real difference is that the perfect ones position themselves, and the non perfect require you to hold it sorta in the centre (theres about 1/34" of play) Its not a big deal, and I advise a dab of glue to hold it in place and not rattle. They DEFINATELY DO NOT interfere with needles! no trimming required!

I'll be making at least one set/day for this week untill I run out of material, then I'll go get more if I haven't filled my orders :)

Any chance we're going to see aluminum rings in the future?

I'd like a set. Can you get smoked material?

No aluminum. Thats way outside of my knowledge range. Anyone have a machinist friend? cjthor?

You could paint them aluminum, I know its not the same though...

and smoked material... is possible I guess. Daninski is working on a method of making them clear enough to remain unpainted, but I think its futile...

Jesse, I would have to charge you a bit more for smoked. I would only buy enough for your one set. Material costs at ~$5, and I wouldn't mind making a little off of these...(hoping for $5 a pop, which in reality doesn't pay, its like making $2/hour.)

Would smoked look good against the black bezel?
