i am getting my windows tinted in two weeks..now, i know it is completely illegal however, isn't there a specific percentage (35%) or something that i can just get away with? i don't want it too dark.. [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img]

35% all the way around is perfectly legal. Depending on what color you choose (silver, black, charcoal), you may be able to have 20% on the hatch. I have charcoal 35%/mirror 50% in the front and 20% charcoal in the back and its perfectly legal. I added the mirror because you could still see into the car without it. <P>On a side note, make sure whoever does your tint uses the metallic film, not your standard fade away film. You may pay more but it'll last forever.

i'm pretty sure tint is legal everywhere. liek sonic said it depends how dark you go. in tesxas it's 35%sides and limo back!
