93 4 cyl, schematic needed

Post by binky »

I am looking for a schematic of the ignition system for a 93 MX-3 with 4 cyl SOHC. Anybody got one that can be emailed? Thanks

Go to my page below, click requested info. 3rd from the bottom is 1993 wiring diagrams - right click and save target as. If the info your after is not in that file let me know and we can look further. Good luck!

Grants, that is an awesome set of diagrams. Do you have the 93 4-cyl ECU diagram? I've traced my wires by hand, and I see the following differences:

92 PRCV is on 2T and is G/O.
93 PRCV is on 2S and is G/O.

92 2Y is empty.
93 2Y is injector 3 and is O/BL.

92 2Z is empty.
93 2Z is injector 4 and is O/B.

The PRCV floors me. I'm getting a CEL blink code for this, so now it makes sense that I have to move the pin. Those are a ***** to remove too. If I had it to do over again I would have put in an Escort wiring harness.

John, theres a full set of both 92 and 93 drawings on there now. They are right at the top of the list.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else. Good luck with it!

Thanks Grants. Unfortunately, those diagrams don't match my car either. I wonder if there was some special California version made near the end of the production run for 1993. I tried calling the Mazda dealership and they were going to try and find out and get back to me, but they didn't call back. Maybe I'll have to drive there on Saturday and bug them personally.
