oil in intake manifold

Post by johnboi85 »

ok everyone knows about the breather on the valve cover mod, but people don't do anything about the pcv valve. i put one of those clear fram fuel filters in. there pretty small and you can see when it fills up with oil. it's pretty neat cuz you don't get oil in your intake manifold. like this

If your blowing more oil through the pcv, then most likely the piston rings/valve seals are worn out.

no i know for 100 percent that i have no oil blow by. i just put 5K on my bran new motor. i just switched over to synthetic. just ever scince i went turbo, the manafold side of the pcv valve is always just alittle wet. not dripping, just wet. and its kinda irratating to me. i was thinking of swapping to the 323 b6t pcv their a little different and it has a different diafram. but this seems like a good idea to have on their anyways.

nice... i wondered why it did that. i'll be trying that out to help eliminate that oil passing through to the manifold

Im using a filter that is used to remove moisture from an air line on an air compressor.

You just get that and add the two ends ae quick connects for compressors. Total <20 bux and youcan just remove the plastic piece and remove the oil.
