tranny troubles, plz help

i have a 94 rs and i pulled the transmission 2 days ago and replaced the clutch, everything was fine with it and i know it was aligned correctly. for some reason it is impossible to get the transmission back on. it just wont go, any suggestions?

did you make sure the clutch is properly aligned? if not itll never fit back in, also make sure the tranny is at the same angle as the engine when ur putting it back in, and that the splines on the tranny are aligned so they slide through the clutch its-self.. just put a new tranny/clutch in without using a engine lift... was rough but fun and it worked heh....

could the release bearing be set in wrong, the previous one was smashed so i couldnt really just mirror the new one.

it could be, but i doubt it would keep the tranny from going on, the arm/fork lookin thingy inside the tranny case should slide/clip onto the back of the throwout bearing, it shouldnt be too hard to get on

alright, thanks for the help...i finished tonight, its cruisin beautifully. got kinda rough towards the end.... egr likes to get in the way. other than that it was nice.
