Post by projectmx »

I picked up an intake for a honda and as soon as i put the battery in the trunk i can install it easily but i noticed on the underside of the dohc intake there is a hose going into a spot under the tb what is that for and what have others done when putting on an aftermarket intake?

It goes into the IAT sensor, if you can find a filter to put right onto it you dont need to run it to the intake.

That one, size of your thumb, going into the module mounted under the TB, that's the BAC (Bypass Air Control) Valve. The IAT Sensor is in the MAF, the round black device that must stay in your intake system. The Hose, it must connect to the intake somewhere. So does the tiny hose that connects to your airbox. Read my post on Stumbling DOHC, it may be informative.
If not broke - don't fix, modify. If broke - fix it right, and make it better.
