just so you know, you cannot have your ecu remapped, etc.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.

Yeah this a draw back to the limitations of a reprogramming for the most part it tends to run over rich. Might wanna consider using some form of computer to just alter the settings while not at WOT

the sohc ecu is a bit different, which is why i asked what year he had. even still, if you had it reprogrammed, and it worked, you wouldn't be running rich now would you?

Depends on who did the reprogramming and how they did it. Give the lack of a MAP sensor frequentally the computer just dumps fuel in based off of the orignial boost settings of the OE motor vs the RPM. So when your not under boost your still getting 8mpg

i don't know how the soch ecu fairs to reprogramming, but the dohc will not take a bpt map AT ALL. i went through 3 very reputable tuning companies, numerous prototypes and a lot of PITA testing, and nothing worked. reason is, the ecu doesn't accept the chip too well as a socket has to be soldered in and it just doesn't seem to work. with you having the dohc, the only way to get it running GOOD is with a stand-alone system. good luck.
