Re: Idle problems please help!!!!
Look under your hood on the firewall, by the brake booster, there is a plug that says "diagnostic" on it open the cap on it and look at the diagram. you will see one pin that says "ten" and one that says "grd".... warm the motor up to normal temp.. then take a small piece of wire and connect the ten and grd pin together the car will die down a bit..... then turn the screw on top of the intake manifold (may have a cap over it) left raises the idle, right lowers it... be careful the screw is very sensitive... turn it very slow.. also it is normal for your check engine light to come on and even flash.. when you have the idle where you want it then take the wire off and then your done...hope i wrote all that right ![Driver :driver:](./images/smilies/driver.gif)

Re: Idle problems please help!!!!
Well solved the problem....I had the idle adjuster screw out too far causing to much air into the intake
Re: Idle problems please help!!!!
I don't seem to have the diagram attached to the cap, so if you or anyone else could tell me which pins are the ground and ten ones.Originally posted by hondah8er13:

Re: Idle problems please help!!!!
Hey, can anyone tell me where the iac valve for a 94 1.6l is located?
I have had it with this lowsy idle and am going to clean the damn thing nd reset the idle. I just don't know where it is located on my car.
Also, how many tranny/motor mounts do I have to replace to get rid of the vibration inherent to our cars. I am trying to get away as cheaply as possible, I don't have a lot of money.
Thanks

Assuming (I dont know for a fact) the SOHC and DOHC use the same throttle body, its on the underside of the throttle body. Remove the large main intake hose, you'll see it.

Thank you, sir.
Do you know which motor or tranny mount Needs to be replaced to stop the vibration inside the car? Do I have to replace them all, or are there key ones responsible for the shaking?
