Re: Finally an intake for the i4's
im sure it wouldnt be hard to make it work with any of them, just a bit of cutting maybe to get rid of the elbow that takes the place of the curved K8 intake

Re: Finally an intake for the i4's
Just from looking at the design, it looks like it was designed specifically for 4 banger MX-3s and would probably work well. I have customized a few protege intakes to fit MX-3s and just by looking at the e-bay one I can tell the fat tube on the shorter elbow piece obviously goes to the air idle control valve and the smaller one goes to the valve cover breather. Also, the metal bracket piece looks like it may bolt up where the splash guard goes. I e-mailed the seller to see if it is truly engineered for our cars or just a knockoff for some other car that he thinks will fit. I'll keep you guys posted when he responds, but something tells me this is the real deal. He has a good feedback rating and probably won't want to piss buyers off by selling junk.

Re: Finally an intake for the i4's
Ok Guys and Gals,
I recieved and installed the intake yesterday. It was a perfect fit for the SOHC. It was a little complicated because it had no instructions, but i figured it out. Also I am pretty sure it is a true cold air intake. The intake sounds a lot deeper. and the intake looks very nice, except the rubber boots are blue and my car is green.
I will try to post pics by the end of the day.
Peace
