Any body have some ideas why my mx-3 acted up...

Post by CoSpringsMx-3 »

Last week I went out to my car after work and it wouldnt start. Sounded like it wanted to turn over just couldn't do it, almost like it wasnt getting gas. So it was towed to the shop and the next morning it started up fine. I picked it up in the afternoon and it chugged at first and wouldn't accelerate very well and died when at a stop and it ideled. I parked it and throttled it a few times and then stop it. Started it back up and it has run fine since. It is a 92 1.6 sohc. I wish it was something as simple as jsut a simple clog pushed through the fuel line, but I'm thinking more. The shop did check fuel filter and if it was getting gas and it was. Could it be fuel pump going out? Any other ideas? Do i need to take it to the shop to run a diagnostic on it? Or can I check the codes? If anybody can help I would appreciate it.
