BPT ECU, Help

Hi guys, I intalled a BPT engine on my 94 MX3(DOHC) and I dont know what ECU I need for my swap. Right now my car sometimes smoke black and the mechanic said that the air/fuel mixture has too much fuel(black smoke)and I need another ECU. I really dont know. Please Help... :crying:

If he wants to tackle the GTX ECU then more power to him. You have to find someone selling the GTX ECU and harness and you can have it running like stock from there. Its not an easy job since I have attempted it myself.

Use a protege SOHC or DOHC wiring ......years 90-94 ...available at any good scrap yard...thats what I did.....

20 000km, no problems.......550km/tank on the highway, 450km in town......

converting obd2 to obd1 is a heck of a job ;)

Is there any place that can re-program my ECU(94 MX3 DOHC) to use it with the BPT engine? :shrug:

its not a good idea

i had the same problem with my car running to rich (black smoke) and my KM/L was very bad

280 KM city
i got the GTX ECU bp26 for 220$
i didnt change my wiring harness because i had the RS 93 soch that and i already have obd1
so it was a plug and play

try to find the GTX ECU

bp26 (japan)
bp55 (australia)
