sup guys... im gonna shorten my shifter myself sometime 2 morro afternoon...
just wondering if anyone has any advice...
ie how far to cut for best performance etc..
im planning on cuttin it little by little until it feels right...
but if anyone would have ne suggestions please state them...

that's not a short shifter, if you want a real shortshifter, you need to buy a pacesetter or h&r short shifter with a shorter end link, not shifter arm.

i was also thinkin of smackin the **** outa the ball
movin it up an inch....
now that would make it a true short shifter...
any one kno the proper (if u can call it that)

a pacesetter shortshifter costs only $67 on nopionline.com ... don't risk it bro. its a real shortshifter and its not that expensive. one thing ive learned is do it right the first time, or else you'll be spending money later on fixing it.

i cut the ball in half, then moved it to the right height, rewelded it then smothed it out and paited it, the shifts are shorter and it cost me 10 from the junk yard

I've done it,,,, I cut the treaded part because when I put custom shifter knob it was too high up. It's not a performance mod, just for looks.
