Automatic to 5 spd conversion HELP!

Post by jcallahan »

I have a 1992 1.6L MX-3 Automatic, I bought a 5 spd tranny from a 1994 MX-3 1.6L also. Will it bolt up, and what all do I need to convert mine to the 5 spd, like what parts are needed? I know it's dumb, but I'm a newbie...

well you will need the shift linkage that hooks the stick up to the transmission, you will also need all the bushings. i'm guessing you will have to cut out the hole in the floor. if i were you i'd get the PRM shifter off ebay. it's cheap and it works well.

all the info you need is in the auto tranny forum. good luck with the conversion.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.
