what should I do before I go

me and my friends are planning to go for a road trip from Nova Scotia to Toronto
we are jsut wondering what should we do before we hit to the road? tune up? check the brake and what else?
Now i want to sell some parts of my car in order to cover the expense for fixing the car -_-

30/60/90k service is always advised and a brake inspection.. <p>depends on the miles too..
