Fuel guage/fuel pump

Post by bronzeboy »

About a month ago, when my fuel guage gets to about half a tank, it either beings to swing wildly from half to empty as I drive (due to the movement of gas in the tank) or it just drops all the way to below E and stays there. Does anyone know how to fix this. Does the fuel pump have this guage attached to it or is it somewhere else in the tank? It reads fine from half to a full tank. Any advice would be great!

the fuel pump bracket has a float switch on it. that's what sends the signal to the gauge.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.
