rear strut

Post by Mx-3 Xplod »

ok i got my wheel bearings, tie bar, and lower ball joints replaced but i took it in to have my 93 4 cyl to have it aligned and the mechanic said i need a rear strut. what tools do i need to do this and is it a strenuous job or is it pretty much jack it up and rip it off? well i appreciate any hitbacks thanx!
i shall drop and rx-7 twin turbo in my 93 4 banger

not a hard task at all, just take everything apart and remember how it went back on. REMEMBER mark your nuts and bolts so they lign up. the way they did before you took them off or you will have problems with your tire wearing funny. i use a center punch and a hammer to make a mark to line things back up by. just rent a spring conpressor or buy one and go at it. i can do mine in about a half hour with a lunch break included. if you're still iffy about it buy a Chilton or Hayes manual they will show you how to do it. And if that doesn't help then have someone professional do it. good luck
