92 sohc swap to a later dohc head

I was wondering if possible how hard it would be t swap a sohc head for a later 4cylinder dohc head.
If possible how hard would it be to make everything work (vacum lines and such).

its been discussed before and from what i remember, it wasn't possible for a number of reasons. i'll see if i can find that post for ya. if ya have time, try searching for 'dohc sohc swap' and it should pop up somewhere.

it can be done im in the middle of doing it right know i have a '92 sohc and im swapping a '96 1.8L DOHC in...........a few minor problems like you have to change the distributor from SOHC on to the DOHC and im still trying to figure out the TPS.........you will also need the DOHC upper tranny mount and rear mount bracket thats.....all ive come into so far...........

either way he was askin about swapping the head, not the entire engine

yea im aware of that. i was askin if the head he's gettin from that 1.8L for his 4cyl is from a protege..because the only 1.8L for the mx3 is the v6 engine.

i probably should have read that post a little closer...........i thought that he meant the whole engine cause thats what i am doing......sorry
