actually, there was some oil on the ground under my mx3 that i nearly slipped on. it wasn't chocolate colored, but it was a clearish with some rainbow colors in it. i'm not too sure where the leak is. if it's clear, where can the leak be coming from? my brother also told me he saw some black liquid dripping from my muffler, but only a little bit. if the head gasket's blown, should i replace it and how much will it cost? thanks sniper.

or did you mean to look at the oil inside the block when opening the valve to put the oil in?

Okay. Final conclusion? Replaced the MAF and distributor.
Car runs great again, but no PRM. *sigh* Parents sure can suck sometimes. Accusing me of trying to "hot rod" my car. All I wanted was a "smooth" sound and some extra miles per gallon. That was the main thing. I really don't think the PRM would add more than 2-5hp on the MX-3, so it's not a big deal as far as performance gains go.
Can those of you who have PRM intakes tell me any increases in gas mileage, so when I can confront my parents again about installing my $200 PRM (it's sitting in the back of my car as it stands), I can have some real experiences with it?

I used to have a PRM on my old RS SOHC Auto. No problems with it. Fuel milage went up around 20 -30 miles around the city. But only when fed fresh air. who knows on the highway.
