question about idle?

Hey guys<P>i have a 92 4 cylinder sohc and i recently have started to do a lot of highway driving (3000km's at a time) and i dirve 140 km/h (about 90 mph) for extended periods of time in 5th gear and my rpm is on 4000 rpm. is this kind of driving going to do damage to my engine. i have 230,000 km on the car so it is getting old but drives well..thanks<P>ps. dave if u could reply to this i would really appreciate it

it should be fine i have a 92 and it has over 300.000 and it still runs good.

thanx for your reply buddy..so does your mx idle that high at that speed and do u constantlt drive like that..is yours a v6?
